I dont need love from you
But what if i still want it
I dont fantasize about people loving me
I fantasize about people liking me
Is that because I’m so self absorbed
I only care about being liked
Or because I love myself so much
I only need to wonder if people like me
Sadness is sacred.
Never let other people around your sadness without permission.
Life is something that happens from us, not to us.
“From us” gives us way more options.
“To us” gives us way less credibility.
Being conscious makes you credible.
It gives you an awareness to believe in.
We have to know what we know
To know what we’ve learned
We’re all being taught the same things.
We’re just learning about them from different vantage points.
Knowing you can be happy or sad is what prevents you from only being sad.
My cries have to be worth the tears.
And your tears weren’t worth the cries.
You can either meet expectations or you can exceed them.
But either way expectations are meeting you
We are always met with an expectation
But an expectation from someone else
Is always met with your expectation of yourself
Hell is what we call heaven
Before we’ve reached it
It's the darkness we fear
And the freedom we gleam
There’s so much we control and yet
So much of ourselves feels out of our control
I can’t stop me from being me
But I can embrace who I am
You don’t always have to be in love.
You don’t always have to be in like.
Sometimes only you loves you.
Sometimes only you likes you.
Being alive and full of life
Doesn’t require you to be in love or in like
With anyone but yourself
Your life is for you.

I’m not scared to open doors.
