4. the impossible task
People are scared, to the point of paralyzation at the thought of true love because they fear that it will be insurmountable and boring. It’s not. It’s purposeful.
*on creating humans*
God: and let’s make their ultimate task the most near impossible thing to understand: love.
We see the angle jot down “ultimate task = to understand love”
Narrator: seems simple!
Angel: and how will we ensure it’s near impossible?
God: we’ll give it hundred of thousands of different definitions and interpretations. And then we’ll give people hundreds of thousands of different qualities and character traits. We’ll create an equation for love that is so large that calculating or intellectualizing it’s meaning would take multiple lifetimes. Possibly never.
